It’s a short sci-fi novel set against the backdrop of an alien invasion of human space by godlike, humanoid beings whose silent, staring observations throw society into turmoil, and tells the story of two people from opposite sides of the law, stuck in situations they long to escape, who find a way forward—and control of their own destinies—in each other. It’s a story about choosing the life you want to live in a time of unprecedented, rapid change beyond your control. Aliens, spaceships, romance—it’s got it all.
