Current Projects: Jeffrey Brown’s Sketchbook

Jeffrey Brown’s Sketchbook is an animated series very loosely based on the life and work of indie cartoonist Jeffrey Brown, best known for his autobiographical graphic novels Clumsy and Little Things, and his humorous books Bighead, Cat Getting Out of a Bag, and Incredible Change-Bots. Jeffrey’s books have been published by the likes of Top Shelf Comics, Chronicle Books, and Touchstone/Simon & Schuster; his work has appeared in the pages of McSweeney’s and been featured on public radio’s This American Life; he’s even directed an animated video for the band Death Cab for Cutie. Sketchbook transports the observational humor and funny gags of Jeffrey’s work from the page to the screen, mixing original material with ideas from Jeffrey’s unpublished sketchbooks.
